The Tandem Instructor Rating Course will take 2-3 days (weather permitting). The course consists of one day of classroom, 10 evaluation jumps and a written exam. The class starts with verification of the requirements. The Eclipse Tandem Manual is the course book and must be purchased from Stunts Manufacturing prior to the course (visit their website www.skydivemontereybay.com). The questions for the written test are in the Manual and there is a study guide online. It is an open book test and can be done at home prior to the course.

You need to bring copies of:

1. A driver's license (age verification)
2. Logbook with 500 documented jumps
3. Logbook pages verifying three in the sport of skydiving
4. USPA membership card with D-license number and instructional rating endorsement
5. Valid FAA Class III medical certificate, foreign equivalent, or HALO physical

After the first 5 evaluation jumps you can make the other 5 tandem jumps with anexperienced jumper who has at least 100 jumps. I require you to make these jumps during the course with the examiner or a designated person for continuous education and to complete the requirements for the USPA Tandem rating.

COURSE FEES

The course fee is $350 for the training. This cost includes the ground instruction, and the examiner fee for the evaluation jumps. My Tandem equipment may be rented at $40.00 per jump or you may use drop zone specific equipment. You will still be responsible for the jump tickets (20 slots). Stunts Manufacturing charges a $45 rating fee.

You will also be responsible for the Course Examiner's travel, transportation on-site, and lodging (to be determined).

If you already possess a current tandem rating from another manufacturer you can get crossed-over to the Stunts rating.

To qualify for cross-training you must:
